Working agreements.

Clear working agreements make better work possible. Being explicit about how engagements are structured helps avoid misunderstandings, reduces friction and allows everyone to focus on the work itself, rather than process, approvals or uncertainty.
This page is for teams who want to understand how Corpus structures work, and why.

Why we are upfront about this.

Corpus does work that is closer to senior thinking, analysis and decision support than to interchangeable delivery. That kind of work only goes well when expectations are clear on both sides.

By setting out how we structure engagements, where the boundaries are and what we do not do, we reduce room for confusion later.

How Corpus structures work.

Corpus works on a paid in advance basis.
Engagements are scoped clearly before work begins, with an agreed outcome, timeframe and fee. This reflects the nature of the work and ensures that time, attention and focus are properly protected for everyone involved.

We are happy to work under sensible confidentiality and non disclosure agreements, and we will tell you if we see potential conflicts of interest.

Why we work this way.

Over time we have found this approach leads to better outcomes for everyone involved. In practice it:

Put simply, clarity up front makes the work itself easier.

What this means in practice.

Most engagements follow a simple structure:

None of this is unusual. We just openly let you know.

Typical formats.

Most work with Corpus falls into one of three patterns.

Focused diagnostic

A short engagement, usually a few weeks, that uses your existing data and context to clarify what is really happening and what should change.

Follow on projects

Deeper work on upstream signals, on site experience, content or experimentation where the problems and goals are already defined.

Longer term support

Ongoing involvement to help teams make decisions, review changes and adapt as conditions shift.

We will always be explicit about which format we are proposing and why.

What we do not do.

To avoid misunderstandings, it is helpful to be clear about what Corpus does not offer:

This is not about inflexibility. It is about protecting the quality of the work and the people doing it.

When this approach works best.

These working agreements tend to suit organisations that:

They will not suit every situation, and that is fine.

What we need from you.

Good work also depends on how we work together. In practice we usually need:

If those things are not available, we will say so and adjust scope, or decline the work.

A sensible next step.

If you are considering working together and want to talk through whether this approach fits your context, a conversation is usually the best place to start.

No pressure, no obligation, just a chance to see if the fit is right.
Typical first conversations last 45 to 60 minutes and focus on understanding your current situation and constraints.
